• Question: Are there straighteners or curlers which are safer for your hair to keep healthy?

      I am afraid I’ve never used any. But I hope that the girls can answer this for you!

      The heat can destroy the protein bonds in your hair, so the safest ones are those that don’t get that hot. Ceramic straighteners are also less likely to drag on your hair so they probably cause the least amount of damage.

      There are warm rod things that you wrap you hair around and leave overnight (which as well as looking incredibly funky) get your hair curly without being too hot!

      My sister has them because she has so much hair that if she tries to curl it one side has fallen out by the time she starts on the other 🙂
