Well the baby itself can’t really kill the mum, but sometimes the stress the pregnancy places on the mum’s body can be fatal. For example, during pregnancy the mum’s blood pressure goes up and her heart has to work harder, so if she had a heart defect she might end up having a heart attack or something during pregnancy. In most cases it’s fine though, doctors keep a close eye on pregnant women and will be able to give them drugs to help any problem they develop during pregnancy.

I haven’t ever really got in to the whole Twilight thing, but your question made me look it up… Ewwww! So she’s pregnant with a half vampire, and her baby’s so strong that it breaks her ribs and bruises her tummy? And then her husband has to bite through her skin and her womb to get the baby out? It’s intriguing, but it would never happen in humans! Definitely a good thing.

Thanks for the questions and saying I was the best 😉 Hope you enjoyed I’m a Scientist as much as we did!
