AIDS does not have a cure as of now. There has been some research been to make a vaccine but it hasn’t been as successful as was expected. There are medications available that can help an AIDS patient manage his/her disease allowing them to live much longer than was possible.
Cancer is not one disease like AIDS. There are many types of cancers (see: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/commoncancers). On that page there is also the relative occurrence and the possibility of cure for this disease.
Most cancers if not all if detected early in the formation can be cured. But by cure there is no guarantee that it may not occur again. Thus, as always, prevention is better than cure. Cancer being a result of environmental and lifestyle-related causes it is largely a preventable disease.

Good answer from Akshat, but it’s worth pointing out that 5-10% of cancers are due to genetic rather than environmental factors, so those are not preventable. Also there are so many lifestyle-related causes that it might be impossible to avoid all the things that might cause cancer throughout your whole life. I wouldn’t say all people who have cancer have led a particularly unhealthy life, it can affect seemingly healthy people too.
There is no single cure, but there are treatments to remove the cancer. These include surgery (to remove tumours), radiotherapy (radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors) and chemotherapy (taking anti-cancer drugs that destroy cancer cells).
