I’m going to go for mosquito, because of the number of people that have died becasue of malaria i think they’re responsible for the most human deaths.

It’s probably actually people (humans) if we’re talking about numbers of animals that have died because of another species.

The most *poisonous* animal in the world is the box jellyfish.

The jelly box venom is so overpoweringly painful, that human victims go in shock, drown or die of heart failure before even reaching shore. Survivors experience pain weeks after the contact with box jellies.

I was going to say Cobra because in my part of the world in India there are far too many of them and I have personally known stories of people who were killed due its poison. But then I saw Gemma’s answer which made me google the question and I found this: http://listverse.com/2007/07/13/top-10-most-deadly-animals/

So its mosquitoes, then the cobra and then the box jellyfish!
