Lots of things! Our genes, the environment we grow up in, our own choices… pretty much everything, that’s why we’re all so different.

There is a cool idea that might explain this even better. In physics there is a theory that has some takers. It is called the theory of parallel universes.

So if you think that at every second of your life a new universe is created but in that universe the person takes a slightly different decision than the one you took. Think how many different you would exist if you look at the many universes after even a few hours. 🙂

Who we are depends on the experiences we have had (environment), and the nature stuff that’s passed on from our parents (DNA, instincts etc)

Akshat, you ever watch ‘Sliders’ brilliant sci fi program from way back that’s based on that-Loved the program but don’t like the theory, it makes it sound like it doesn’t matter what choices we make because someone else out there is doing the other option, no free will!!
