Meeting with other scientists and talking about science and other cool things.

I think I find reading about science the most interesting part (although I know it doesn’t sound very interesting). I like reading about other scientists’ theories and results.

Meeting with other scientists is the most interesting, except discussing science with non-scientists is often even more interesting than that. Even non-scientists often have excellent basic science skills they aren’t aware of, and it’s interesting to discover those.

I really like learning how to use different methods or equipment. Today I got taught to use a fluorescence microscope which is pretty cool-some chemicals give off fluorescence(different coloured glow) when you put light of a certain wavelength through them

Making an unexpected discovery! They say that you tend to find the most interesting things when you’re not actually looking for them. Other than that, networking with my peers is always a fun and beneficial experience; their objective point of view can often shed a lot of light on my own research, help me to approach problems from a different angle, and come up with new ideas.
