My favourite thing is to understand things and try and implement them in some way.
I get excited by new ideas. And those ideas need not be limited to chemistry. I read books from different subject areas like psychology, economics and biology. I also enjoy popular science books and autobiographies. I get many new ideas when I meet new people with varying backgrounds and Oxford is a great place to do just that.
When not involved in the guilty pleasure of seeking and working on new ideas, I try to spend my time outdoors. Living in Oxford allows me to escape the city whenever I wish. It enables me to pursue two of my favourite activities nature photography and cycling.
I like things like hanging out with friends, listening to music, watching things on 4od (I don’t have a proper TV because there’s never anything good on!).
The other day I went to the Scottish Deer Centre and fed some goats. They were so cute. So that’s probably my new favourite thing to do!
I’m big into reading-which makes me a complete geek probably but I’m ok with that 🙂 i do a lot of sailing. mostly i like hanging out with friends, watching movies and things!
I like to exercise in my spare time; its a great way to stay healthy and relieve stress. However, sticking to a routine can get boring pretty quickly, so I like to mix it up by throwing in a little randomness! My favourite kind of day involves waking up, without any plan in mind, and doing something impulsive. Like taking a roadtrip with my friends, or walking around the city discovering all of the hidden gems (rather than pushing through the crowds at the usual tourist hotspots). I also enjoy cooking and baking for my friends, and chilling out with them.
I really like watching standup comedy. In London there is lots on, and quite a few of my friends do standup as well so I go and support them (its gets a bit annoying when I hear them tell the same jokes over and over though). I watch quite a bit of tv now that I have sky+ so I can record things and watch them when I want. My friends all have dogs and as I work from home quite often, they often drop them off for ‘doggy day care’ – so I do a lot of dog walking too
