      Carbon, because it and all heavier elements were created by stars.

      Osmium. It is one of the most exquisite metals on Earth. A family of elements that contains osmium may have come to existence on our planets only because of the massive that crashed into the Earth causing the extinction of dinosaurs.

      Well, oxygen is good at keeping us alive, so maybe I should choose that… but liquid nitrogen is pretty cool (no pun intended). We use it in work to freeze things really quickly and keep them really cold.

      I have to say Carbon too, it bonds with itself and other elements in very specific ways so it makes up a lot of whats inside us!

    I like mercury because the first time I was handed a bottle of it at school I dropped it and it went everywhere. Mentally I just couldnt get my head around the fact that something liquid was going to be heavy and I was totally unprepared. It shows how wrong our expectations can be!
