• Question: Why do lips become dry during winter?

      Lips can dry out as water evaporates off them, and if the fine layer of oil that coats the lips is lost. That happens more quickly in the winter because the air is dry so moisture is lost more easily.

      You can help replace the oil layer and stop your lips drying out by using lip salve or vaseline. I use vaseline with a pink tint to it so I get rosy lips at the same time as protection from the cold. Fashionable AND practical 😉

      This tends to happen more when going from really warm houses/buildings and out in the cold a lot, your skin cant adjust to the temperature quickly enough…

      I have apple flavour lip salve, practical and yummy!
