• Question: why do people faint?

      Technically people faint because of low blood pressure to the brain, but this can be caused by any number of things, shock, low blood sugar, stress and in older people it can be a sign of problems with the heart (so it’s not pumping enough blood to the brain).

      Apparently it can also be caused by being really really nervous…I once did a school play where three of us had to sing this song , the girl to my left threw up and the girl to my right fainted, very dramatic but not the ambience the teacher was aiming for!!

      Yup, as Judith says, it’s lack of blood (and therefore oxygen) to the brain.

      That play sounds pretty traumatic for you stood between them! How were the reviews?
