I recently talked about a small aspect of my work to “middle school” kids in Colorado. They seemed interested. Everyone is interested in the weather, but it takes extra effort to digest the related mathematics.
Also please see “how will your investigation benifit humans?” and “how could your investigation benift globel warming and the future?”.

We all like to think there is a way our work impacts people of all ages, when explaining things we try not to go into too much depth for people with less science in their backgrounds. We’re doing a stand at Manchester science festival on polymers and polymorphs-basically a material that j you heat up cam turn into any shape but as it cools it keeps the shape. This is aimed a really young children but is a great way to get them involved!

Well, we’ve all been born, so I think my work on child birth would be interesting to other people! I think people of any age could be interested, but maybe women of child-bearing age would be most interested… especially if they’re pregnant or have had a premature baby.

In time, work like mine will help pregnant mothers have healthy babies. If babies are born healthy then they are more likely to grow up healthy. So it has a huge impact on other people. Hopefully by the time people your age are old enough to have children, there will be better drugs to prevent premature birth.
